HOW TO MAKE IT
- Brew the Coffee:
- Prepare 2 cups (480 ml) of strong, hot coffee use the Zwilling Enfinigy filter coffee machine. Make sure the coffee is very hot, as adding cold cream will cool the drink down significantly.
- Prepare the Glasses:
- Pour 1 shot (45 ml) of Irish whiskey (or a local whiskey like Three Ships) into each of two heatproof glasses or mugs.
- Add 1 teaspoon of sugar to each glass.
- Froth the Cream:
- Pour ½ cup (120 ml) fresh cream into a milk frother. Use the cold milk foam setting, but stop frothing about halfway through to ensure the cream thickens slightly without becoming too whipped.
- Combine and Serve:
- Pour the hot coffee over the whiskey in each glass, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
- Hold a spoon over the top of each glass and slowly pour the frothed cream over the back of the spoon so that it floats on top of the coffee.
- Dust the top with a little cocoa powder if you like, and enjoy immediately.
